Liat Alkan-Heymann

​Born in Jerusalem, Israel. She graduated with a B.Mus from the Rubin Academy of Music in Jerusalem, studying with Mrs. Miryam Meltzer, and with a Graduate Degree in Music Performance from Indiana University (Bloomington, Indiana, USA) in 2000, studying with Prof. Alan Bennett. Liat was the recipient of the prestigious “Sharet Foundation” scholarship between the years 1998-2002. 

She performs as a soloist in various concerts of romantic and early music, oratorio and operas - concerts with the Jerusalem Academy Chamber Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, The Israeli Sinfonietta, the North Galilee choir, and others. 
In addition to the Amaryllis Ensemble, she also sings in other ensembles, as well as solo concerts, and collaborates with various musicians.
in 2003 she participated in the May 4th Nationale Herdenking ceremony in the Nieuwe kerk in Amsterdam with the presence of Queen Beatrix. In 2007 she performed in the New-Year’s concert at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Today she is living in The Netherlands, Teaches private voice lessons at The American School of the Hague and conducts the ASH Community Choir.Type your paragraph here.
